I am an Emmy awarding winning journalist for Spectrum News 1 in Los Angeles.
In three years as a news reporter and anchor, I’ve covered everything from local news, celebrities, to some of the nations biggest political issues. However, I’m most passionate about sharing the real stories of real people in the community. I always say, growing up in D.C. gave me the grit and motivation to be the woman I am. I overcome a childhood in the foster care system, and that inspired me to be a role model and mentor to young black girls, showing them that their dreams can become their reality. I also credit a lot of my grace and confidence as a Black woman in television to being involved in the modeling/ballroom scene in D.C.
